TransCanada Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders and First Quarter 2007 Teleconference and Webcast Advisory

CALGARY, Alberta – April 18, 2007 – (TSX: TRP) (NYSE: TRP) – TransCanada Corporation will hold its Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders beginning at 10:00 a.m. (Mountain) / 12:00 p.m. (Eastern) on Friday, April 27, 2007. The meeting will take place at the Roundup Centre (Palomino Room) in Calgary, Alberta.
