NGTL System STFT Existing Capacity Open Season

STFT Capacity Open Season

NGTL is marketing at total of 250,000 GJ/d of STFT Capacity for the quantity and term stated below:

NGTL has revised its STFT Service offering posted July 27, 2018 to include a second Open Season offering for 5-month term. As such, NGTL will revise the deadline for the STFT Capacity Open Seasons (“Open Seasons”).

The Open Seasons will now close on Friday, August 10, 2018.  The bid deadline is 10:00AM Mountain Time (MT).

Bidders who have already submitted bids per the July 27, 2018 posting are able to revise or rescind their bids prior to the new close date given the change in the service offering.

Open Season 1:

Capacity available for 7-month STFT Service from September 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019

  • The two STFT Open Season offerings will be evaluated and awarded separately.
  • Bids are evaluated first on the basis of the per unit STFT Bid Price multiplied by the requested term.
  • STFT Bid Price shall not be less than 100% of the applicable FT-D Demand Rate and is expressed as a percentage.
  • Multiple bids by entities or their affiliates cannot exceed the capacity posted in a given Open Season.
  • Bids for different Open Seasons, periods/volumes/bid amounts and, borders must be on separate bid forms.

Financial Assurance Requirements:

Successful bidders will be required to provide financial assurances as required by TransCanada. For financial assurance information please refer to paragraph 10.1 of General Terms and Conditions of the NGTL Tariff.

Bidding and Allocation Procedure:

As outlined in Appendix A of the NGTL tariff, titled "Terms and Conditions Respecting Access to Transportation Service at Export Border Points" all parties wishing to bid for this available service can do so by completing the STFT Service Agreement and Schedule of Service. Evaluation of Bids:

Bids will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  1. STFT Bid Price multiplied by contract term.
  2. Commencement of service date if bids are otherwise equivalent i.e. service commencing on earlier start dates will be given higher priority.
  3. If oversubscribed, tied bids will be allocated on a prorated basis.

Submitting Bids

A completed and executed Schedule of Service should be emailed to ab_ft_openseason@transcanada.comprior to the deadline shown above. Alternatively, customers may fax NGTL STFT Open Season 1.403.920.2341.

No deposits are required. Bid information should include a minimum and maximum quantity acceptable to the bidder. After the open season closes, we will notify customers as soon as possible.
