Existing Capacity Open Season

This Open Season is now Closed

Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. (“Foothills”) is holding a binding Existing Capacity Open Season (“Open Season”) for Firm Transportation (“Service”) on Foothills BC (Zone 8).

Capacity Available and In-Service Date:

Up to 450,000 GJ/d on Foothills BC (Zone 8).

Service can commence as early as July 1, 2017; Foothills will evaluate bids with a later service commencement date.

Bidding and Allocation Procedure:

The Open Season will commence on Friday, May 5, 2017.

Bids are due Monday, June 5th, 2017 before 10:00 a.m. Mountain Time (MT)

As outlined in the Foothills Tariff Capacity Allocation Procedures all parties wishing to bid for this available service can do so by completing the Existing Capacity Open Season Bid Form (page 26 of Capacity Allocation Procedures).

 

A completed and executed Existing Capacity Open Season bid form should be sent by email to ab_ft_openseason@transcanada.com prior to the deadline shown above.

 

As outlined in Foothills Tariff Capacity Allocation Procedures Foothills will evaluate bids according to the following criteria:

  1. Firstly, based on the Requested Term length.
  2. Secondly, requested Service Commencement Date.

 

The minimum term for this Service is 1 year.  Bids are binding, however shippers may submit bids conditional on being awarded capacity through a direct interconnecting pipeline open season process (“Interconnecting Pipeline Open Season”).

Awarding Capacity:

The successful bidders in the Open Season will be required to execute a Service Agreement, Firm Transportation Service, including Appendix A to that agreement. Foothills will provide Notice to successful bidders in accordance with the Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. Tariff.

 

Successful bidders will need to meet the deposit requirements outlined in the Foothills Tariff Capacity Allocation Procedures.  Pursuant to section 5.8 of the General Terms and Conditions of the Foothills Tariff the successful bidders will be required to provide financial assurances as required by Foothills.

All capitalized terms not defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the Foothills Pipe Lines Ltd. Tariff.
