Merrick Mainline Pipeline Project

The Merrick Mainline Project has been delayed as a result of changing market conditions. The project’s construction and in-service schedules are closely coordinated with downstream facility development.

TransCanada advised the National Energy Board that a Section 52 Facilities application will not be filed in 2016. Stakeholder and community engagement, Indigenous Relations activities and field studies have also been temporarily suspended.

While there are no specific timelines to share, TransCanada will continue to provide timely updates as information become available.

TransCanada remains committed to growing its presence in B.C. LNG projects will provide long-term economic benefits for both B.C. and Canada including jobs, business opportunities, tax revenues, and support for community investment initiatives, education and training initiatives.
